2023-Present
To enhance my skills, I pursued my Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. During this time, I evolved my approach from traditional guidance to a partnership model. I deepened my focus on listening to both students and parents while enhancing my multicultural perspective in college counseling.
2019-2023
As a high school teacher and learning support specialist, I worked closely with students with diverse learning differences and challenges. This experience deepened my understanding of individualized education and reinforced my belief in every student's unique potential. I developed strategies to help students build self-advocacy skills and confidently navigate their educational journeys.
2016-2023
Upon earning my College Counseling Certification from UCLA, I continued mentoring first-generation, low-income high school students, where I identified critical gaps in traditional college counseling approaches. This led me to found College-Do, LLC.

After years in the corporate world, I began exploring a path in college counseling that drew from my personal experience as an international student from a high school in Tokyo with an International Baccalaureate diploma and my subsequent BA from Bryn Mawr College and MA from Columbia University Teachers College.
